Una curiosa y estimulante lectura de la arquitectura moderna y contemporánea españolas. David Bestué: Formalismos Puros (2010)

John Lennon, Yoko Ono, The Plastic Ono Elephant Memory´s Band: New York City (1972)
Standing on the corner
Just me and Yoko Ono
We was waiting for
Jerry to land
Up come a man with the guitar
in his hand
Singing "have a
marijuana if you can"
His name was Davis Peel
And we found that he was real
He sangs "The pope smokes
dope everyday"
Up come a police man shoved
us up the street
Singin, "power to the
people today!"
NYC...NYC...NYC
Que pasa Ny?...Que pasa NY?
Well we went to Max's
Kansas City
Got down the nitty gritty
With the Elephants Memory
Band
Laid something down
As the news spread around
About the Plastic Ono
Elephants Memory Band!
Well we played some funky
boogie
And laid some tutti frutti
Singing "Long tall sally's
a man"
Up come a preachman
trying to be a teacher
Singing "God's a red
herring in grag!"
NYC...NYC...NYC
Que pasa Ny?...Que pasa NY?
Well we did the Staten
Island Ferry
Making movies for the telly
Played the fillmore and
Apollo for freedom,
Tried to shake our image
Just a cycling through
the village
But found that we had left it
back in London.
Well nobody came to bug us,
hustle ud or shove us
so we decided to make it
our home
If the man wants to shove
us out
We gonna jump and shout
The Statue of Liberty said,
"come!"
NYC...NYC...NYC
Que pasa Ny?...Que pasa NY?
NYC down in the village
What a bad-ass city!
Que pasa Ny?...Que pasa NY?
P J Harvey: A Place Called Home (2000)
"A Place Called Home"
One day I know We'll find A place of hope Just hold on to me Just hold on to me Walk tight One line You're wanted This time There's no-one to blame Just hold on to me And I'm right on time And the birds keep singing And you're right on line And the bells keep ringing come on my love And the battle is won And the planes keep winging And I'm right on time And the girl keeps singing I walk I wade Through full lands And lonely I stumble I stumble With you I wait To be born Again With love comes the day Just hold on to me Now is the time to follow through, to read the signs Now the message is sent, let's bring it to its final end One-day-I-know-there'll-be-a-place-called-home.

You better run You better run and run and run You better run You better run You better run to the City of Refuge You better run You better run You better run to the City of Refuge You stand before your maker In a state of shame Bacause your robes are covered in mud While your kneel at the feet Of a woman of the street The gutters will run with blood They will run with blood! You better run, you better run You better run to the City of Refuge You better run, you better run You better run to the City of Refuge In the days of madness My brother, my sister When you're dragged toward the Hell-mouth You will beg at the end But there ain't gonna be one, friend For the grave will spew you outIt will spew you out! You better run, you better run You better run to the City of Refuge You better run, you better run You better run to the City of Refuge You'll be working in the darkness Against your fellow man And you'll find you're called to come forth So you'll scrub and you'll scrub But the trouble is, bud The blood it won't wash off No, it won't come off! You better run, you better run You better run to the City of Refuge You better run, you better run You better run and run and run You better run to the City of Refuge

Tale of the Priest and his Labourer Balda
Once a greedy priest decided to find a hard working labourer. But he did not want to pay a good salary. In the market the priest met Balda. Balda agreed to be his labourer for very small salary: three flicks on the priest's forehead. The priest okayed and Balda started to work in priest's house.
He was very good labourer and everybody praised him except the priest who was afraid of Balda's flicks. Then he decided to give Balda business beyond his strength and sent him to the devils who owed some money to the priest. But smart Balda managed to fool the devils and brought the bag of collected money back to the priest. Balda gave three flicks to the greedy priest, knocked him down, and said: "Do not run after cheapness!"
